(1) There will be a public-private partnership unit in the office to study the feasibility of projects to be implemented under the public-private partnership concept and to select investors and to facilitate public bodies in the construction, operation and other matters of projects.
(2) The work, duties and powers of the Public-Private Partnership Unit shall be as follows:-
(a) To make strategies, procedures and guidelines on policy matters related to public-private partnership and submit them to the Board,
(b) To give opinions, suggestions or advice to investors who are implementing public-private partnership projects, and to guide them. (c) Drafting and calling for letters of intent, pre-qualification and proposal and project contract related to public-private partnership,
(d) To prepare and update the project bank of the approved project to be operated in public-private partnership,
(e) Feasibility study of the project to be implemented in public-private partnership, evaluating the details of the project preparation and giving opinion feedback,
(f) To monitor and evaluate the status of implementation of projects conducted in public-private partnership and give opinions, feedback and suggestions,
(g) Prepare and implement the process of selecting partners for projects implemented in public-private partnership,
(h) Conducting regular research on international public-private partnership good practices and experiences and adopting topics suitable for public-private partnership framework in Nepal,
(i) Provide necessary assistance to investors in the preparation and implementation of projects to be implemented in public-private partnership,
(j) Collecting and documenting information related to public-private partnership projects (t) To perform other functions prescribed by the board or office.
(3) The formation, organizational structure and other arrangements of the public-private partnership unit shall be as prescribed.
